Walnut Softball Princess Matavao and Ricki Garay received post season honors for there outstanding play during this past 2019 season. Junior Ricki Garay was chosen for the San Gabriel Valley Tribune All-Area Softball Second Team. Walnut’s Chloe Arriaga ran a 4:55.27 in 1600 to qualify for the state track finals in that event.

Walnut High School annual Powderpuff football game between the juniors and seniors ended in a tie Friday evening. Even after a short overtime neither team was able to break the scoring drought. The game can be viewed here or on YouTube:
Tyler Nguyen shot one under par, 70 to lead the Walnut Boys golf team to the State Championship. They defeated Foothills 375 to 376.
The Walnut Boys Golf team defeated Diamond Bar, 370 to 375, to win the 2019 CIF team championship. Congratulations to Alrik Pan and his Walnut teammates on winning the CIF team championship. Despite a double bogey on the 18th hole, Alrik Pan still shot a 4 under par 68 to lead Walnut to the win over Diamond
