Walnut freshman Justina Kozan wins four titles at CIF-SS swimming finals

Here is a wrap of the day from Coach E.J Gautreau:

To say that we had some outstanding swims at CIF Finals yesterday would be a serious understatement! I was so proud of all the  amazing performances, including several record breaking swims.

As a team, we battled some great schools in a division that is deeper and more talented that it has ever been. We ended taking

3rd place in both boys and girls in Division 3, which had 133 schools, and several schools that were elite Division 2 teams just last year!

We set six school records and two southern section Div. 3 CIF records!! And we were CIF Champions in six events!!

Congratulations to all the following accomplishments:

Justina Kozan who won 4 CIF Championships including the 200 IM (1:56.31, All-American auto time), 100 Fly (52.88, Southern Section Div. 3 record, and All-American auto time)!!

Boys Medley Relay, CIF Champions (Colin Chuang, Brian Honng, Matthew Neoh, and Julian Xu), 1:34.37 (All-American consideration time)

Boys 200 Free Relay, CIF Champions (Julian Xu, Eddie Chang, Matthew Neoh, Brian Honng), 1:25.47 (All-American consideration time)

Girls 400 Free Relay, CIF Champions (Lexi Grant, Sabrina Bennani, Katelyn Young, Justina Kozan), 3:27.39 (All-American auto time)
