The Mustang Stampede took a step backwards Friday night, as to be expected with such a young team, with a 35-27 loss to San Gabriel High School. Nate Wong scored 3 touchdowns and had over a 100 yards total offense alone. Walnut will mend and recover over the next two weeks with a bye week and then host the league opener against Diamond Ranch October 4th.
